Last week a girl in her 20’s asked me “Mam, does manifestation work?” I felt speechless for a second as I could understand her state of mind, most of us have been through that phase where we doubt on the whole existence of universe.
I feel that this thought of doubt is the first step on realisation and moving towards the path of self awareness and our existence : The existence of “I – Inside”.
What is Manifestation ? To my understanding , Manifestation is the process of bringing ideas, intentions, or wishes into reality by means of deliberate belief, activity, and visualisation. The concept of manifestation is very simple yet complex as it requires a lot of work on the “I – Inside”, which means the first step is looking inside who you are? what’s your identity? not what others look you as. This helps in setting the Intent and clarity on what we truly desire.
Then comes cleaning of your surroundings, which is about being in those thoughts and creating an atmosphere for self that will help you roadmap what you wish to achieve. Being in present , detaching from past and not worrying about future and outcomes. This is the way we understand the energy flow and how we can connect with universe.
Third step is working on emotions , having an understanding on which feeling and situations is creating that emotion, its like a formula Feeling + situation = Emotion , so if you wish to change your emotion, just change the situation attached to it, and if you are in a situation which is out of your control than change your feeling associated to that situation. For example its flood in the whole city and you are scared for the life and property, then use your alertness to take prompt actions to first safeguard life’s, as property all can be rebuild as this situation is temporary till we have saved life’s. So, we can’t change a situation in this scenario we changed our feeling of fear, despair etc to courage, confidence to handle. The emotion attached to fear & despair is anxiety, hopelessness, panic, stress etc which by our alertness and action we can change to anticipation, resilience, faith etc.
So, once we start practicing this consciously, we might come across as detached, arrogant, least bothered etc, but we need not to worry on it, as empathy is always radiated from inside not from outside.
Fourth Step is taking aligned action towards your desires, you can just sit and visualise without taking an action. For example, I wanted to go on a trip with my friend for years, I always thought about it but it never happened. So I just sat down one day and realised the fault is not with my friend or situation, its my own aligned thoughts and actions, once I did that I was able to have an amazing trip as planned.
Fifth and most important step is letting go!, we all are too harsh and judgemental to our own self, we need to first realise and accept we are human being and when we will take actions, we will make mistakes which others wont like, but we need to change our lens and see, what our actions are doing for our “I – Inside”, if it is helping us to grow and learn than just Let it go! (it means all the negative feelings associated to your actions)
How Manifestation Works? Manifestation is a combination of physiological actions, spirituality and self-help. To my understanding four base methodologies are gratitude, scripting, vision board and visualisation. One of the most important aspect to make manifestation work is “Overcoming Challenges” Although manifestation is an uplifting concept, the challenges associated to it are deep-seated anxieties, limiting beliefs, or doubts that can obstruct the process. Even when you make a conscious effort to manifest your wishes, it may be impossible if, for example, you harbour a subconscious attitude that you are undeserving of success.
In order to truly travel this path, we must constantly seek to heal, reflect on our lives (I – inside), and reframe unfavourable thoughts. We must also make the required measures towards conquering these internal obstacles on a regular basis.
